HP OpenView Service Quality Management provides with an objective, real-time and proactive view on the end-to-end service quality of operators’ Convergent (Triple-Quad Play) services.

     

Executive overview

With the arrival of triple (and even quadruple) -play services, pressure on service providers is getting greater than ever as they understand they have no choice but provide the quality of service right the first time. The HP OV SQM solution for Triple Play provides a complete service quality management solution from the end-to-end service and consumer KPIs perspective. It helps service providers understand performance and behaviour of advanced multimedia applications like IPTV.

Using synthetic information computed from IP network metrics (like jitter, latency, delays), content aware indicators (like MPEG related measurements), customer quality of experience data (like over time related metrics as per TMF recommendations) as well as service interaction related metrics (like EPG acces efficiency) in one single place and in real time service operators can relate customer experience issues with infrastructure problems and quickly identify their potential affect on customers and operational Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Solution description

HP OV-SQM already integrates today a Triple-Quad Play service model combining a set of service components and key indicators (KQIs & KPIs) (including Voice, MultiMedia, Broadband TV, HighSpeed Data Services over IP) that all together can be deployed to provide many different possible end-to-end views of next generation IP services.

In addition, HP C&I (Consulting & Integration) can assure the customization and fine tuning of this service model in order to fit to the customer environment and needs.
