Solution architecture and technology |
 |
 |
| An HP VOD-IP solution is comprised of four core elements:
- A High-speed Access Network - networks involved in the transmission of the IP traffic.
- Head End Equipment - antennas, receivers, encoders, digital turn-around systems and video servers used to present video streams to the network
- Customer Premises Equipment - Modem, Set-Top-Box, PCs
- Middleware - a client-server service management software, which interacts with the access network, the head-end(s) and the Set-Top-Boxes to enable the provisioning and delivery of the Interactive Television services
HP and its best-of-breed partners have installed, tested, benchmarked and pre-integrated the various technology elements to provide a complete solution that enables telecommunication providers to have confidence in the reliability and interoperability of the HP VOD-IP solution. |
